Pamporovo – the sunniest mountainous Bulgarian resort is located 230 km from Sofia, 85 km southwards of Plovdiv and 15 km from Smolyan.

The altitude of the central zone of the resort is 1 650 m, the highest peak being Snezhanka – 1 926 m.

At Pamporovo the main tourist flow is during the winter months as the resort is mostly visited for its ski sports. The resort offers excellent conditions for snowboarding. In 2004 the first in Bulgaria half-pipe run was constructed in Pamporovo, which is a real attraction for the extreme snowboarders and those searching for fun and tricks.

Since the beginning of season 2010/2011, Pamporovo complex has offered a night skiing on Snezhanka 2 ski run, also known as „the Wall“. The ski run is completely renovated and meets all international standards for competitions.
